About The Event
The 2020 Main Street Trunk or Treat has room for 50 "trunks". Approved participants are local businesses, clubs, churches, and non-profits.
East Main Street will be closed to traffic from 4- to around 7:30pm from the intersection of Lincoln/Main, to Buchannan St. This year, in order to make additional room for physical distancing (thank you Covid), we are spreading out over two blocks. Set up for the event will be between 4pm-4:30pm. Partisipants will check in with a Community Spirit Committee member on the Adams St. side where you will be directed to a location to park. All vehicles will be positioned "nose-in" on the center median of both sides of main street. A little after 7pm, all vehicles will exit the Trunk or Treat area out the Buchannan St. side.
Decorations and Expectations:
If you think that a child would hesitate to visit your vehicle due to the decorations or costumes, you will need to re-think your decorations. This event is intended to be a safe, friendly, and memorable event without scaring children. Have fun, have a theme, promote your organization, and let your community know what you're for! If you have any questions about whether or not your decorations or theme my be on the edge of these simple guidelines, shoot me an email or call first.
Candy: Think BIG! Plan on having 3,000-5,000 pieces of candy depending on how much candy per community member you desire to hand out. Candy must be individually wrapped.
Games: No games will be permitted this year due to Covid-19.
The intent behind this event is to foster a sense of community spirit and continue to make Jerome a great place to Live, Work, and Play! We appreciate you being part of a vision where visitors ask if Twin Falls is anywhere near Jerome. :)
Blessing to you all,
