Welcome to the Mission

Renew's mission is to see our community and neighbors transformed and renewed by Jesus. We desire to be known for who we are FOR. Like many churches, we have a brief Statement of Faith along with the Essential Tenant's of our Denomination (ECO), but we have also compiled a few items we hold as significant for our ministry here at Renew.

TRANSFORMING LIVES.

We recognize that outside of the transforming and redemptive power of Jesus, there can be no lasting transformation in the lives of people. We are therefore Gospel-centric in our purpose and mission. We desire for all to be reconciled to God for eternity and to walk in newness of life with Him forever.

RENEWING COMMUNITY.

We desire to bring light and life to downtown Jerome by creating a public space where the community encounters the Kingdom of God, where lasting relationships can be formed, where love and compassion are poured into people, and where a renewed sense of community is forged.

PROACTIVELY REACHING A GENERATION.

We feel that passing on the knowledge of God and what He has accomplished through Christ is an essential responsibility of the Church. Rather than react to a God-less generation, we desire to pour into the Generation to come. We understand that this is accomplished by proactively engaging children, youth, and young families.

BIBLICAL AUTHORITY.

We believe that the Bible is infallible and gives us the clearest image of who God is and what He desires for our lives. It becomes the lens by which we view and live life. It is through this lens that we engage culture and embrace our community.

KINGDOM MENTALITY.

We are not alone in our core values and mission. We strongly desire to partner with other evangelical churches in mission and transform the culture of the Church itself through unity. Our space and our resources are not our own. We value and practice joint ministry with an open hand.

CHURCH MULTIPLICATION.

We believe that in order to reach the varied groups of people in this world, there must be varying expressions of Christ’s Church. We also know that the greatest way for people to come to know Christ is through church planting. Our passion and our goal are to begin a movement of non-traditional church planting in rural America.

Our Features

Statement of Faith

The Scriptures: We BELIEVE that the human authors of the Holy Scriptures were inspired by the Holy Spirit so that the Holy Bible is without error in the original manuscripts, making it the only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.

The Trinity: We BELIEVE in One God. He is infinite, unchangeable, perfect in holiness, wisdom, goodness, justice, power and love. Through all eternity He exists as the Living and True God in three persons of one substance; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

God the Father: We Believe that God's kingdom is everlasting and that God the Father is the creator of heaven and earth who created, upholds, and governs all that exists. Through Jesus Christ, he created all things very good including man, which he created in His own image for relationship with Himself.

Jesus Christ: We Believe that Jesus Christ, God's only Son, begotten not made, our Savior and Lord, was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, as fully God and fully man in one person. I believe in His sinless life and in His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal future return to earth in power and glory to judge the living and the dead and rule forever.

Holy Spirit: We BELIEVE in the Holy Spirit, who brings the permanent indwelling presence of God to every believer in Jesus Christ for personal sanctification, the building up of the Church, and gifting us for ministry. He is our abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide.

Sin: We Believe that under the temptation of Satan, Adam and Eve fell from grace, bringing sin, sickness and God's judgment of death to the earth. Creation now experiences the consequences and effects of their original sin. All people are sinners by nature and choice and are therefore subject to God's judgment. Humanity is lost and destined for eternal conscious punishment. I believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and eternal life be obtained.

* The Church: We BELIEVE in the one, holy, universal Church. All who repent of their sins and confess Jesus as Lord and Savior form the living Body of Christ, of which He is the head and of which we are all members together under the covenant of Grace. I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed two sacraments to the Church: water baptism and the Lord's Supper, and that both are available to all believers. I believe that as members of the Body of Christ, we must be committed to the preaching of the Good News of Jesus, the Kingdom of God, and the work of the Holy Spirit, so that God may regenerate, justify, adopt and sanctify others.
